Linguist – Arabic

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Translate material between English and your native language while ensuring cultural nuance and clarity are maintained.

• Edit and enhance language content for precision, tone, and contextual relevance across various digital platforms.

• Utilize current language standards, usage trends, and best practices in all deliverables.

• Assess and provide structured feedback to enhance the quality of language models.

• Collaborate with Production and interdisciplinary teams to localize content for language-specific markets.

• Assist in content development, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.

• Creatively modify text beyond the original when transcreation is necessary.

• Complete onboarding procedures, including application documentation and payment setup, following selection and testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level fluency in the target language(s).

• A graduate degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR a graduate degree in another discipline along with 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.

• Capability to accurately adhere to terminology and reference materials.

• An updated CV/resume in English.

• Dependable availability and dedication.

• Most tasks necessitate a minimum commitment of 2 hours daily or 10 hours weekly.

• Geographic restrictions may be applicable; contractors must not be located in regions under international embargo or sanctions.

• Sole responsibility for personal tax obligations as a 1099 contractor.
