📋 Description

• Conduct research, compose, and disseminate engaging, innovative, and contemporary lifestyle content.

• Ensure all material is optimized for SEO, featuring enticing headlines, meta descriptions, and relevant keywords.

• Publish articles on PETA's websites using WordPress.

• Lead PETA’s lifestyle section by organizing bi-weekly brainstorming sessions.

• Stay updated on breaking news within the animal rights community and propose story ideas to your supervisor on a daily basis.

• Collaborate with PETA's social media team.

• Coordinate with stakeholders and editors to verify the accuracy of all published content.

• Monitor and evaluate web traffic using Google Analytics.

⛳️ Requirements

• A college degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

• At least one year of experience in content creation within a dynamic newsroom environment, whether in a traditional media organization or a marketing role.

• Minimum of one year of experience in building posts and uploading images to a content management system (CMS), preferably WordPress.

• Proficiency in editing photos using Photoshop, Canva, or other image editing software, with a strong emphasis on effective web presentation.

• Competence in utilizing Google Analytics and similar tools to assess the performance of your posts.

• Capability to handle multiple tasks and oversee several projects simultaneously.

• Skill in crafting catchy, clickable headlines.

• Extensive knowledge of animal rights topics and PETA's campaigns.

• Proven ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong interest and understanding of online trends.

• Proficient in project management, strategic thinking, and analytical skills, effectively managing multiple priorities.

• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
