Licensed Therapist, LCSW – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct virtual psychosocial evaluations and provide individual psychotherapy through a telehealth platform.

• Facilitate audio-only sessions as an alternative when patients are unable to access video.

• Offer time-sensitive, goal-oriented, skill-focused therapy utilizing CBT, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral activation.

• Lead and manage group therapy sessions and support groups.

• Advocate for and support caregivers and family members of patients dealing with dementia and severe mental health issues.

• Record treatment responses and track clinical symptoms within the EMR.

• Participate in daily team huddles for collaborative care.

• Recognize social determinants of health needs for the care team to address.

• Provide telehealth therapy to adults facing severe mental illnesses, substance use disorders, and dementia as part of a multidisciplinary care team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid and unrestricted LCSW license in Pennsylvania and New Jersey is required.

• Must be capable of billing Medicare.

• Experience in delivering psychotherapy through telehealth platforms.

• Proficient in screening, assessing, and creating treatment plans for common mental health and/or substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with evidence-based brief behavioral interventions, including motivational interviewing, problem-solving treatment, and behavioral activation.

• A private workspace at home is necessary.

• A reliable internet connection is essential.

• Availability for approximately 20 hours per week, with potential adjustments based on patient demand.
