Licensed Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver evidence-informed family, individual, and group therapy for eating disorders and related diagnoses in a virtual clinic or telehealth environment.

• Utilize FBT, CBT-E, CBT for ARFID, and other evidence-based modalities tailored for individuals across different life stages.

• Manage a caseload of 30-40 patients, dedicating 20-26 hours to direct patient care while allocating remaining time for administrative responsibilities.

• Engage in both initial and continuing training sessions.

• Evaluate and diagnose mental health issues.

• Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, patient mentors, family mentors, and external providers.

• Employ between-session messaging and coordinate with the treatment team via Equip’s EMR system.

• Attend treatment team meetings, supervision sessions, and departmental gatherings.

• Sustain licensure in the home state and acquire additional state licenses as necessary.

• Execute other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an active, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in a state within the Eastern Time Zone.

• Capability to support patients of all ages, including those with co-occurring conditions, diverse backgrounds, and varying levels of acuity.

• Strong commitment to evidence-based care and treatment methodologies.

• Availability to provide care two evenings a week until 8 PM in the primary time zone of the patient caseload.

• Competence in delivering care safely and effectively in a virtual environment.

• Genuine passion for mental health and eating disorder treatment, along with a desire to expand access to services.

• Capacity to commit to 30 hours per week for direct patient care.

• Willingness to provide at least 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 PM in the patient care time zone.

• Ability to participate in mandatory meetings.

• Master’s or Doctoral degree from a CACREP, COAMFTE, CSWE, MPCAC accredited mental health counseling or therapy program, or an equivalent accrediting body.

• Preferred experience in Family-Based Treatment and/or eating disorder care.

• Preferred background in evidence-based treatment and/or intensive care environments.

• Preferred experience in supporting patients with suicidal thoughts and trauma.

• Preferred case management experience and/or experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Reliable internet connection and a private workspace for remote work.
