This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy for families, individuals, and groups dealing with eating disorders and related diagnoses in a virtual clinic or telehealth environment.
• Apply Family-Based Treatment (FBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (CBT-ARFID), and other evidence-informed interventions throughout the lifespan.
• Manage a caseload of 30-40 patients, providing 20-26 hours of direct care while allocating remaining time for administrative responsibilities.
• Engage in initial and ongoing professional training sessions.
• Evaluate and diagnose various mental health conditions.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, dietitians, patient mentors, family mentors, and external providers.
• Utilize between-session messaging and maintain communication with the treatment team via Equip’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Attend treatment team meetings, supervision sessions, and departmental gatherings.
• Keep your licensure current in your home state and acquire additional state licenses as necessary.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• Possess an active, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in New Jersey.
• Capability to support patients across all age groups, with diverse co-occurring conditions, backgrounds, cultures, and varying degrees of acuity.
• Strong commitment to evidence-based care and treatment methodologies.
• Availability to provide care two evenings per week until 8 PM in the primary time zone of the patient caseload.
• Ability to commit to 30 hours per week of direct patient care availability.
• Willingness to provide at least 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 PM during weekdays, or after 3 PM in Mountain Standard Time.
• Attendance at mandatory meetings, including group supervision, treatment huddles, labs/all-hands, and individual supervision is required.
• Proficiency in delivering care safely and effectively in a virtual setting.
• Genuine passion for mental health and eating disorder treatment.
• Submission of graduate program and university details is required with the application.
• Successful completion of a Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited mental health counseling/therapy program recognized by CACREP, COAMFTE, CSWE, MPCAC, or an equivalent body.
• Fully licensed mental health therapist with independent practice capabilities.
• Ability to provide documentation of supervised clinical hours for cross-licensure purposes.
• Capability to work exclusively in a virtual/telehealth setting.
• Reliable internet connection and a private workspace are essential.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience in Family-Based Treatment and/or eating disorder treatment is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatments and/or intensive treatment environments is desirable but not required.
• Experience supporting patients with suicidal ideation and trauma is preferred but not mandatory.
• Background in case management and/or multidisciplinary care team settings is preferred but not required.
