Licensed Mental Health Therapist – 1099 Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Deliver high-quality, innovative tele-therapy services to Headspace patients using a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform.

• Complete, sign, and finalize clinical case notes in the EMR within 48 hours of each session, as part of the per-session reimbursement rate.

• Maintain a personalized database to record proof of licensure, updates, expiration dates, personal information, and more.

• Keep your availability calendar current.

• Collaborate with a care team that includes health coaches, other therapists, psychiatrists, and external care providers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in providing clinical psychotherapy to individuals, couples, or families.

• An independent clinical license to practice in good standing (without requiring clinical supervision) at the Master’s or Doctoral level.

• BC-TMH credential, if mandated by your state of licensure.

• Ability to offer at least 10 sessions per week for bookings, with flexibility to adjust as necessary.

• Flexibility during nights and weekends is a plus.

• Clinical proficiency in evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, etc.) and measurement-based care.

• Experience in risk management and handling higher acuity cases.

• Knowledge, skills, and commitment to providing culturally responsive care.

• Comfort and confidence with care delivery technology, including various applications, tech tools, Google web apps, video conferencing, EMR, etc.

• A safe and secure location with a reliable internet connection to deliver Zoom-based psychotherapy.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within interdisciplinary teams.

• Preferred (if applicable): Licensure in multiple states.

• Licensed psychologist willing to apply for (or already enrolled in) PSYPACT.

• Capability to provide care to diverse populations.

• Multilingual abilities.

• Familiarity with the Headspace app and its content.

• Willingness to include evening availability in your schedule to enhance member care flexibility.
