Legal Researcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Analyze and distinguish various sections of court documents.

• Utilize AI-powered tools to summarize court documents while ensuring clarity and precision.

• Review and validate all research outputs to uphold editorial quality.

• Daily monitor external sources for updates on court cases and business transactions.

• Conduct outreach via email to law firms and organizations to verify details regarding ongoing legal cases and transactions.

• Keep records current, closing cases when necessary.

• Work alongside a global team of journalists and editors to guarantee content quality and punctuality.

• Input and manage data in a deals database, ensuring its accuracy.

• Research and report on significant business topics, including employment law, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and litigation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in legal research is required.

• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and completeness.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• A background in writing or editorial work is advantageous.

• Availability to work the mid shift (3 PM – 12 AM PH time).

• Proven experience in legal writing and research, along with a background in law (e.g., attendance at law school or completion of legal studies coursework).
