• Design and manage the organization's contract lifecycle management (CLM) system, which includes configuring playbooks, automating workflows, and providing user training.
• Oversee the contract repository, ensuring that all agreements are accurately tracked, version-controlled, and marked for renewal or expiration.
• Create and sustain contract templates, pre-approved clause libraries, and negotiation guidelines for standard commercial agreements.
• Supervise outside counsel management, which encompasses RFPs for new legal service providers, rate negotiations, billing guidelines, and invoice reviews.
• Develop and maintain reporting dashboards that monitor legal expenditures, contract cycle times, pending matters, and risk exposure.
• Administer legal technology tools, including CLM, e-signature, matter management, and document management platforms.
• Assist the Procurement team with contract execution workflows, approval routing, and compliance monitoring.
• Lead and drive Legal team projects, including process improvement initiatives, compliance programs, and policy rollouts.
• Collaborate with IT and Security on data governance, contract data integrity, and systems integration.
• Cultivate relationships with legal technology vendors and assess new tools to enhance team efficiency.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; a J.D. or paralegal certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
• 5–8 years of experience in legal operations, contract management, or law firm administration.
• Practical experience in implementing or managing CLM platforms (e.g., Ironclad, Agiloft, ContractPodAi, Icertis).
• Strong project management capabilities with a proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives.
• A data-driven mindset with expertise in generating reports and dashboards.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and business stakeholders across all levels.
• Comprehensive understanding of contract risk, compliance requirements, and standard commercial terms.
• Experience in a high-growth technology or infrastructure company is preferred.
• Familiarity with procurement workflows and ERP/CLM integration is preferred.
• Experience managing outside counsel expenditures at scale is preferred.
• Knowledge of AI, data center, or hardware contracting environments is preferred.
