Legal Fellow, Fall 2026

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Address legal matters such as copyright, freedom of expression, and corporate compliance.

• Perform research on legal inquiries and prepare licensing agreements.

• Create and implement internal and external policies.

• Work alongside the supervising attorney and engage in meetings.

• Must be a current law student or a recent graduate from law school.

• Demonstrated enthusiasm for the mission of free knowledge and a keen interest in free culture topics.

• Capability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

• Preferred strong background in research.

• Previous experience with online user communities is a plus.

• Exceptional writing skills for the effective communication of legal concepts.

• Preference for candidates who have completed coursework in internet law, freedom of expression, intellectual property, contract drafting, privacy, data security, or licensing.
