This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +1 more state.
• Support various legal and administrative tasks as assigned.
• Update case details in Smokeball and Lawmatics systems.
• Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, hearings, and schedules.
• Draft initial pleadings, correspondence, and legal documents.
• Prepare and file legal documents with the appropriate authorities.
• Provide both administrative and legal assistance throughout each case.
• Monitor crucial deadlines and follow up on outstanding legal issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys and team members to ensure efficient case progress.
• Organize and maintain electronic files for each case.
• Prepare real estate letters and associated documentation.
• Assist attorneys with the preparation of discovery and document management.
• Availability Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. CST.
• Prior experience in supporting a U.S. Family Law practice.
• Background as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal.
• Juris Doctorate (law degree) required.
• Preference for candidates who are licensed attorneys in their home country.
• Experience in preparing legal documents, discovery, and court filings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with Smokeball software.
• Proficient in Lawmatics.
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient in Google Sheets.
• Experience in U.S. Family Law.
• Strong legal drafting capabilities.
• Experience in discovery preparation.
• Knowledge of court filing procedures.
• Expertise in calendar management.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
