This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Drive revenue enhancement, donor retention, and pipeline expansion by overseeing a portfolio of donors as a primary fundraiser.
• Assist in the strategic development and management of a portfolio containing over 500 prospects and donors capable of contributing between $1,000 and $9,999.
• Create and execute tailored donor strategies, ensuring timely follow-up, stewardship, and tracking of actions and outcomes.
• Engage with and nurture new donors while cultivating existing relationships to boost retention and contributions.
• Perform donor outreach through various channels including phone, video, email, correspondence, social media, and surveys.
• Achieve a minimum of 200 personal virtual contacts monthly and document these interactions in the CRM system.
• Follow up on solicitations, provide research updates, and offer donor support to secure average gifts ranging from $1,500 to $2,500 and meet at least 50% of annual support requests.
• Collaborate with Prospect Research, Development Operations, Marketing/Communications, Development teams, leadership, and staff to devise solicitation strategies.
• Partner with the Community Manager and Vision Walk teams to connect supporters with local chapter and signature events.
• Review donor strategies on a quarterly basis and make donor referrals to enhance major gift and legacy program pipelines.
• Monitor donor movements and solicitations within database systems and dispatch personalized follow-ups.
• Utilize key metrics and effective time management to enhance retention and communication efforts.
• Report directly to the Director of Mid-Level Giving.
• A minimum of five years of experience in constituent engagement and non-profit fundraising.
• Preferred experience in personally soliciting individual gifts and developing and implementing gift strategies.
• Proven track record in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and securing gifts up to $10,000.
• Experience in effective donor stewardship and disciplined moves management.
• Ability to collaborate successfully with staff, volunteers, donors, and event personnel.
• Skill in qualifying major gift donors or disqualifying annual giving donors.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Capacity to initiate and foster long-term relationships with potential individual donor partners.
• Strong fundraising ethics and a commitment to donor confidentiality.
• Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, and equipped with strong follow-up abilities.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Flexible availability, including the ability to work some weekends.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to various markets across the country.
• Eligible for an annual incentive bonus of up to 5%.
