This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to grasp project requirements and business objectives.
• Revise and enhance current designs to optimize user experience and achieve business outcomes.
• Utilize tools such as Figma (primarily), Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant platforms to fulfill project objectives.
• Ensure clear organization and structure across all design and working files.
• Document processes, workflows, and best practices for future reference and guidance.
• Carry out all visual design phases from concept through to final hand-off to engineering teams.
• Generate original website design concepts that simplify intricate user journeys and challenges.
• Develop wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Prepare design plans and present website structures and concepts to stakeholders for review.
• Create engaging presentations that visually convey ideas, strategies, and visions.
• Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers, stakeholders, and management.
• Assist in the development and rollout of new brand identities across various digital formats.
• Provide thought leadership on web design best practices and emergent digital trends.
• Revamp or enhance existing digital experiences to support business growth objectives.
• Establish and advocate for design guidelines, standards, and best practices across projects.
• Conduct design reviews and offer constructive feedback to team members.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive web style guides for both consumer-facing and business-facing products.
• Collaborate with SEO or technical specialists to ensure website structures are SEO-friendly where applicable.
• Stay informed about emerging design tools, technologies, and trends.
• Effectively manage project timelines and consistently meet deadlines.
• Participate in project planning sessions and technical discussions with cross-functional teams.
• Support and mentor junior designers while upholding high standards of design quality across projects.
• Proven experience in Web/UI/UX design with a robust portfolio showcasing digital and website projects.
• Proficiency in Figma (primary tool), Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant design tools.
• Ability to translate business and stakeholder requirements into intuitive, user-friendly design solutions.
• Experience in creating wireframes, user flows, site maps, storyboards, and interactive prototypes.
• Strong understanding of responsive web design, visual hierarchy, usability principles, and contemporary design trends.
• Capability to execute the complete design process from concept through to final hand-off to development teams.
• Experience in maintaining organized design systems, structured files, and comprehensive style guides.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate and defend design decisions to stakeholders and management.
• Knowledge of branding and visual identity development across various digital formats.
• Familiarity with SEO-friendly website structures and collaboration with technical or SEO specialists when necessary.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, consistently meet deadlines, and engage in planning and technical discussions.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to provide constructive feedback and collaborate across teams.
• Experience leading design initiatives, mentoring designers, or contributing to strategic creative direction is considered a strong advantage.
