This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Offer strategic direction, set priorities, delegate tasks, oversee projects, and provide expertise and assistance to technicians on-site.
• Ensure technicians conduct their work safely and receive training in both technical skills and administrative responsibilities.
• Execute preventive maintenance and repairs as outlined in work orders.
• Carry out minor plumbing tasks, such as fixing and unclogging toilets and urinals, as well as maintaining valves, fixtures, and sensors.
• Perform routine painting, carpentry, wall, floor, door, and general maintenance tasks.
• Undertake minor electrical maintenance permitted without a license according to state regulations.
• Conduct service inspections and asset evaluations.
• Lead, mentor, and impart trade knowledge to technicians.
• Train new hires on EMCOR Field Organizational practices and protocols.
• Monitor technician workmanship and the accuracy of associated administrative tasks.
• Assist technicians with complex or skilled work orders.
• Act as a subject matter expert in facilities maintenance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Regional Manager.
• Complete designated work orders and relay status updates through a tablet or specified business systems.
• Execute daily repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventive upkeep.
• Commute locally between properties on a daily basis.
• High school diploma or degree/certification, or equivalent professional experience in landscaping, electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, or specialty floor care.
• A minimum of five years of mechanical experience, encompassing electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, or an equivalent mix of training, education, and experience.
• Relevant work experience in one or more building trades, demonstrating the ability to fulfill the job responsibilities.
• Must hold applicable certifications and licenses.
• Must have a valid driver's license in good standing.
• Capability to read and interpret safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to write standard reports and correspondence.
• Proficiency in speaking effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to promptly complete work orders and communicate status using a tablet or designated business systems.
• Skill in operating tablet devices and business/document management software, including Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of relevant building operations, regulatory, governmental agency, company, OSHA, and work safety standards.
• Experience in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems in buildings.
• Capability to travel locally between properties on a daily basis.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 75 pounds and working in proximity to mechanical parts, electrical hazards, heights, chemicals, weather, and vibrations.
