Lead Steam Turbine Mechanical Technical Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide on-site technical guidance for customer-owned utility and nuclear power plants regarding their Turbine Generator Systems.

• Responsible for evaluating plant engineering documentation and P&IDs, as well as troubleshooting plant systems and equipment.

• Plan, organize, integrate, and direct resources such as labor, tools, and materials to fulfill the work scope in accordance with contractual obligations.

• Execute contract responsibilities within the designated and qualified skill set (Steam Turbine Mechanical and Generator).

• Oversee repair or inspection processes using the latest electronic communication tools, references, and documentation technologies.

• Identify, anticipate, and document potential failures along with future outage recommendations.

• Possess a working knowledge of prints and print reading, including manufacturing drawings, P&IDs, and schematic diagrams.

• Actively participate as a member of the Service Team focused on Safety metrics.

• Lead the execution and oversight of projects within TFA’s core competencies.

• Carry out project management and technical leadership responsibilities.

• Assist with warranty administration and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Support business needs during periods not engaged in field assignments.

• Willingness and ability to travel as necessary for field assignments.

• Flexibility to work during holidays, weekends, and overtime when required by field assignments.


⛳️ Requirements

• Technical/University degree or equivalent experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 7 years in a Field Services role.

• At least 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas or power plant maintenance, turbine generator maintenance, or power plant equipment installation/commissioning.

• A minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience with various turbine generator equipment and site responsibilities is required.

• Willingness and ability to travel 80% across North America (Canada, United States, and Mexico).

• Capability to obtain and maintain unescorted security access to nuclear facilities throughout North America.

• Must be physically capable of walking 5 miles per day, climbing ladders, and lifting 20 lbs.
