Lead Software Engineer, Identity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create and develop backend services and APIs focused on identity resolution, graph transparency, and various integrations.

• Design and enhance event-driven pipelines and workflows that handle billions of signals.

• Implement and manage cloud-native services on EKS/Kubernetes, utilizing Helm for consistent deployments.

• Guarantee reliability, observability, and scalability across all services and data pipelines.

• Work collaboratively with engineering, product, and data teams to provide comprehensive identity solutions.

• Guide engineers and shape the architecture and strategic roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend and/or data engineering at scale.

• Proficient in Python, Java, or Scala, with a strong grasp of APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven design.

• Practical experience with Kafka (or similar technologies), Spark/Hive/Flink, and workflow schedulers like Airflow or Luigi.

• Expertise in Kubernetes (with a preference for EKS) and deployment methodologies (including Helm and service meshes).

• Strong understanding of SQL, data modeling, and cloud platforms (specifically AWS).

• Familiarity with columnar/NoSQL databases such as Aerospike, Snowflake, HBase, Scylla, or Couchbase.

• Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to guide technical direction and mentor teams.
