Lead Software Engineer, Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend systems and services that fulfill enterprise requirements.

• Collaborate with fellow engineers to create new features and enhance existing ones.

• Optimize and enhance the performance, reliability, and scalability of current backend systems.

• Engage in the operation of our systems in production, including participating in Incident Response on a rotational basis.

• Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback to team members.

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code that follows best practices.

• Work closely with engineering, product, leadership, sales, and customers to gain a better understanding of design requests and user experiences.

• Continuously improve existing planning, development, and deployment processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 7 years of experience in building backend applications using any modern programming language.

• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud computing platforms.

• Familiarity with modern data storage solutions, including MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, etc.

• Knowledge of current standard methodologies and a willingness to explore, learn, and adapt to new technologies and programming languages.

• Strong foundational skills in data structures, algorithms, and web development best practices.

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• Capacity to mentor and coach junior engineers.
