Lead Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development, execution, and promotion of a long-term vision and strategy for Corporate Payments' cross-cutting and core services.

• Work collaboratively to define and execute a detailed architectural roadmap for the EnCompass platform.

• Encourage a culture of innovation, collaboration, empowerment, and ongoing learning among engineering teams.

• Continuously question existing practices and implement strategies to shorten time-to-market through effective engineering techniques.

• Partner with other engineering teams in Corporate Payments to leverage development practices and components, minimizing redundancy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proficiency in the rapid development and deployment of internal and external services utilizing cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

• Proven experience in creating high-quality automation, including comprehensive unit, component, and integration tests.

• Strong grasp of security and compliance protocols within cloud and data environments.

• Exceptional leadership, team-building, and effective decision-making abilities.

• Capacity to manage uncertainty and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Preferred: Experience in developing applications within the finance sector, such as credit card products and accounts receivables/payables.
