Lead Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Design and implement high-scale systems that regulate agent data access patterns, incorporating guardrails, traceability, telemetry, and auditability.

• Play a key role in shaping the technical infrastructure necessary for the future of agents while actively engaging in code production, code reviews, and design choices.

• Collaborate with Product, Security, and Business Units to guarantee that agents function with the appropriate data access permissions and governance controls.

• Guide the technical direction for the team — establish standards, mentor engineers, and foster alignment among a diverse group of stakeholders.

• Embrace and promote AI-first development methodologies throughout the engineering organization.

• Assess and advance the team's adoption of emerging agentic frameworks and tools as the industry evolves.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of industry experience with a successful history of leading large-scale distributed systems or platform engineering.

• Profound understanding of the LLM lifecycle, including prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), agentic reasoning patterns (such as ReAct and Chain-of-Thought), and constructing MCP servers.

• Practical experience with agentic frameworks like LangChain or PydanticAI.

• Strong expertise in at least one modern programming language: Java, Python, Kotlin, Scala, Rust, or Go.

• Familiarity with a diverse range of data systems: vector, relational, and graph databases, event-driven architecture (Kafka), and large-scale data processing.

• A degree or equivalent relevant experience is mandatory.
