Lead Senior Developer, Rust

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assume the role of technical owner for our Proxy service.

• Collaborate within a seven-member engineering team.

• Enhance a high-throughput codebase.

• Establish the foundation for features that support tens of millions of proxy requests daily.

• Take complete ownership of our Rust codebase (50,000 lines) and ensure its longevity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Lead development efforts using Rust and Tokio.

• Over 5 years of professional experience with Rust, demonstrating mastery of the Tokio Async framework.

• Experience handling challenges involving millions of requests/events per hour.

• Strong understanding of TCP, UDP, and multiplexers.

• In-depth knowledge of protocol design, including Protobuf, Bincode, and raw data handling.

• Excellent performance-tuning capabilities, including profiling, memory optimization, and low-latency design.

• Strong security mindset.

• Proficient in designing highly concurrent software with high availability.

• Implement robust security measures (Anti-DDoS systems, TLS, cryptography, etc.) and uphold best practices.

• Conduct comprehensive code reviews.
