Lead SAP BASIS Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Manage intricate SAP landscapes, spearhead technical projects, and ensure long-term system reliability through advanced monitoring and proactive maintenance.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and establish best practices through comprehensive documentation and high performance and security standards.

• Direct SAP BASIS initiatives—including installations, upgrades, and migrations—ensuring seamless transitions with minimal disruption to operations.

• Provide sophisticated operational support through monitoring, performance optimization, authorization management, and effective incident resolution.

• Support critical SAP systems like ECC, SHANA, BW on HANA, and APO while optimizing HANA and DB2 databases.

• Design and oversee the SAP BASIS architecture for Azure migration, including High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) configurations.

• Manage system sizing and performance tuning, optimizing cloud resources for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

• Lead the installation, upgrades, and configuration of SAP components on Azure infrastructure.

• Implement transport management, patching, and kernel updates to ensure system integrity.

• Ensure security hardening and encryption, adhering to BFSI compliance and audit standards.

• Collaborate with Azure teams for networking, storage, and backup strategies to support SAP workloads.

• Diagnose system issues and conduct root cause analysis during migration and stabilization phases.

• Mentor junior administrators, coordinate project activities, and take part in on-call rotations to maintain high system availability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience managing complex SAP BASIS environments.

• In-depth expertise in SAP HANA administration, including installation, configuration, tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting.

• Proficient in IBM/AIX, Linux, and Windows, with advanced database skills in HANA, DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server.

• Expertise in SAP NetWeaver, HANA, Azure cloud services, HADR architecture, and performance optimization.

• Domain knowledge of BFSI regulatory compliance and security standards.

• Preferred certifications in SAP BASIS, Azure Solutions Architect, or related fields.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Experience in public-sector environments.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
