Lead Risk Manager – iOS portfolio

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Take charge of gross profit, anticipated credit loss, risk-adjusted unit economics, portfolio scaling strategies, and credit policy direction.

• Be accountable for lead policy, experimentation, analytics, and performance, managing portfolio outcomes from start to finish.

• Develop and implement changes to credit policy.

• Assess the impact across FPD, roll rates, NPL, ECL, NPV, and GP uplift.

• Provide analysis on before and after impacts.

• Ensure compliance with policy governance and documentation standards.

• Create and conduct A/B and multivariate tests.

• Guarantee statistical validity and control for bias.

• Evaluate impact beyond FPD, taking a comprehensive view of unit economics.

• Rapidly scale successful strategies.

• Quickly discontinue underperforming experiments.

• Gain a deep understanding of loan-level NPV, user-level NPV, Behavioral EIR, discounting logic, lifetime value modeling, and the impact of risk-adjusted CAC.

• Implement acquisition risk filters.

• Establish limit assignment logic.

• Define pricing bands.

• Optimize tenure strategies.

• Align top-up strategies with collections.

• Integrate fraud overlays.

• Align model strategy accordingly.

• Lead and cultivate a high-performance risk/analytics team.

• Establish weekly performance routines.

• Ensure that dashboards are suitable for decision-making.

• Rigorously review analyses.

• Uphold robust data governance.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–10+ years of experience in consumer credit risk.

• Strong familiarity with African lending markets, with a preference for Nigeria.

• Demonstrated ownership of GP and ECL.

• Experience in scaling digital portfolios.

• Advanced understanding of PD / LGD / EAD frameworks, roll rate modeling, IFRS 9 concepts, NPV modeling, and price optimization.

• Proficient in SQL and comfortable with analytical tools.

• Extensive experience with A/B experimentation.
