• Oversee the preparation and punctual submission of regulatory reports for Mashreq UAE, including Islamic reporting, ensuring complete compliance with CBUAE requirements and designated reporting timelines.
• Generate and verify essential prudential metrics, such as Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Leverage Ratio, and Pillar III disclosures, ensuring precision, consistency, and alignment with regulatory standards.
• Supervise the compilation and submission of regulatory returns for Mashreq subsidiaries to the CBUAE and Securities & Commodities Authority (SCA), ensuring thoroughness and adherence to relevant guidelines.
• Direct cross‑departmental collaboration with Finance, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure data integrity, proactively address discrepancies, and improve overall reporting quality.
• Offer functional leadership and mentorship to junior team members, enhancing technical capabilities, reinforcing regulatory compliance standards, and driving consistent outcomes.
• Serve as a primary liaison for internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on regulatory requirements, managing changes in reporting, and supporting ongoing improvement and automation initiatives.
• Operate within established SOPs to manage the preparation and submission of regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit standards.
• Work closely with Technology, Finance, and Operations teams across jurisdictions to guarantee timely availability, accuracy, and consistency of data for reporting purposes.
• Facilitate audit processes (both internal and external) by coordinating data requests, addressing inquiries, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and governance standards.
• Enhance coordination across functions and regions by proactively identifying data or process gaps and driving resolutions to improve reporting efficiency and control effectiveness.
• Exhibit the ability to effectively manage complex interdependencies among multiple stakeholders, particularly within Technology and Operations teams, while ensuring alignment with regulatory reporting objectives.
• Capable of producing high-quality results under stringent regulatory deadlines, managing competing priorities and operational pressures in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrates significant expertise in data validation, reconciliation, and analytical review, with meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
