Lead iOS Engineer – Health Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design, architecture, development, and delivery of high-quality iOS Swift applications and SDKs.

• Offer technical leadership and guidance to a team of iOS engineers, promoting engineering excellence and ongoing improvement.

• Establish and uphold software architecture, coding standards, and development best practices throughout the team.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to outline technical solutions and product roadmaps.

• Facilitate technical design discussions, architectural choices, and technology assessments.

• Mentor, coach, and assist engineers through code reviews, technical advice, and career development.

• Take ownership of the quality, scalability, maintainability, and performance of software modules and the overall system architecture.

• Advocate for automated testing, including unit, UI, and integration testing, to ensure product reliability.

• Supervise CI/CD practices and development workflows to enhance engineering productivity.

• Assess emerging technologies, create prototypes, and suggest alternative solutions.

• Ensure adherence to medical software development processes, design assurance SOPs, and relevant regulatory requirements.

• Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering.

• Over 5 years of software development experience.

• More than 5 years of experience in iOS software development.

• Proven experience with CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems).

• Strong grasp and application of iOS architectural patterns and design principles.

• Interest in gaining expertise with TCA (The Composable Architecture Framework or Unidirectional Flow Pattern).

• Familiarity with application development frameworks.

• Experience in owning software modules and ensuring their quality.

• Knowledge of Cloud technologies and protocols, such as APIs, REST, OAuth 2.0, and JSON.

• Experience in maintaining a CI/CD pipeline.

• Proficiency with Git.

• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
