📋 Description

• Assist in defining the future operational model for GitLab's Global Campaigns function, including strategy formulation, program scoping and resourcing, performance measurement, and team collaboration with Product, Growth, and Regional Campaigns across various regions.

• Develop frameworks, playbooks, and measurement models for the broader campaigns organization to facilitate large-scale planning and execution, transitioning current methodologies into a more repeatable system aimed at global outreach.

• Take ownership of the strategic direction for GitLab's global upsell and expansion campaign portfolio, utilizing it as a premier example of the enhanced operational model.

• Collaborate with Product Growth, Product Marketing, Sales, and Revenue leadership to influence expansion strategies upstream, affecting packaging, pricing strategies, and go-to-market timelines.

• Work alongside Regional Campaigns, Localization, and international GTM leaders to ensure that global campaigns are tailored for regional execution, incorporating the necessary adaptability for AMER, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM markets.

• Lead high-profile integrated campaigns that cross multiple product tiers, target audiences, and geographical locations, including new initiatives where goals and success metrics are still being established.

• Oversee the analytics, experimentation, and budget strategy for expansion campaigns, encompassing attribution, incrementality testing, funnel diagnostics, and investment decisions to optimize campaign ROI.

• Establish high standards for technical and strategic quality within the team, mentoring Senior and Lead campaign managers to elevate the overall capabilities of the function.

• Represent Global Campaigns in executive forums, translating performance metrics into clear business narratives and aligning leadership on expansion priorities across various regions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive B2B SaaS marketing experience, with a proven record of leading integrated campaign strategies for product-led growth, customer expansion, or upsell initiatives.

• Direct experience in evolving a marketing function's operational model, influencing how a team plans, executes, and evaluates its efforts, rather than merely managing campaigns within an existing framework.

• Experience working on a global scale, with a history of building or scaling campaigns across diverse regions and effectively collaborating with regional GTM teams.

• Proven track record of leading complex, multi-quarter initiatives from inception through execution, measurement, and refinement.

• Demonstrated ability to influence Product, Growth, Sales, and Marketing leaders at the VP and C-level, including shaping decisions that extend beyond direct oversight.

• Strong analytical skills paired with budget management, utilizing attribution modeling, incrementality testing, cohort analysis, and funnel diagnostics to inform campaign investment strategies and reallocate resources to effective initiatives.

• Technical fluency with developer, DevOps, or platform engineering audiences, capable of translating technical benefits into compelling campaign strategies.

• Experience in setting benchmarks for a marketing organization, mentoring senior contributors, and enhancing strategic quality.

• Proficiency in modern marketing automation, CRM, and analytics tools such as Marketo, Iterable, and Salesforce, focusing on measurement and experimentation rather than execution.

• Prior experience in DevOps, developer tools, or open-source ecosystems is preferred.

• A background encompassing product marketing, growth, and lifecycle marketing is preferred.

• Previous involvement as a key contributor in a team that improved operational effectiveness within its campaigns function is preferred.
