Lead Engineer, Transient Analyses

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee a range of projects encompassing technical evaluations and analyses related to Anticipated Operational Occurrences, Anticipated Transients without Scram, Reactor Heat Balance, and Thermal Hydraulic Fuel Channel Analyses.

• Consistently deliver products at a high and sustainable standard, aligning with customer expectations, business procedures, and regulatory agency directives.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork abilities will be necessary to engage with a diverse array of individuals.

• Engage directly with customers through training sessions, deliverables, and collaborative efforts.

• Leverage unique opportunities to innovate and enhance state-of-the-art automation and methodologies.

• Collaborate effectively and contribute positively in a fast-paced team setting.

• Draft comprehensive and precise technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations.

• Conduct technical verification of engineering deliverables.

• Offer engineering expertise, guidance, and mentorship in a technical capacity.

• Prepare, articulate, and present intricate technical topics to both internal and external clients, suggesting viable solutions.

• Drive continuous improvement in transient analysis work processes.

• Undertake additional relevant responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or equivalent).

• Minimum of 7 years of pertinent nuclear experience.

• Experience in Reactor Engineering.

• Familiarity with BWR core simulation and thermal-hydraulic system codes.

• Knowledge in thermal hydraulics within power or process plants.

• Fundamental understanding of BWR Systems and integrated plant response.

• Eligibility for access to U.S. export-controlled information.
