Lead Engineer, Transient Analyses

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee a diverse range of projects that involve technical evaluations and analyses related to Anticipated Operational Occurrences, Anticipated Transients without Scram, Reactor Heat Balance, and Thermal Hydraulic Fuel Channel Analyses.

• Consistently deliver high-quality products that meet customer expectations, adhere to business protocols, and comply with regulatory agency standards.

• Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork abilities are essential for collaborating with individuals from various backgrounds.

• Engage directly with customers through training sessions, deliverables, and collaborative efforts.

• Leverage unique opportunities to develop and/or enhance innovative automation techniques and methodologies.

• Contribute positively in a fast-paced team environment by working effectively with colleagues.

• Compile comprehensive and precise technical reports, correspondences, documentation, and calculations.

• Conduct technical verification of engineering deliverables.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or a related field).

• Minimum of 7 years of pertinent nuclear experience.

• Experience in Reactor Engineering.

• Familiarity with BWR core simulation and thermal-hydraulic systems codes.

• Background in thermal hydraulics within power plants or process plants.

• Fundamental understanding of BWR Systems and integrated plant response.
