Lead Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive design and development of scalable, high-performance software for both client-side and server-side applications.

• Provide technical guidance for your team, facilitating sound engineering decisions and advocating best practices in code quality, architecture, security, and performance.

• Engage in daily writing and reviewing of production code, designing and evolving APIs while ensuring solutions are robust, maintainable, and thoroughly tested.

• Collaborate across the entire stack, partnering with UX to create user interfaces and developing reliable APIs and services that drive our products.

• Mentor and coach engineers of all experience levels, promoting continuous learning, constructive feedback, and knowledge sharing within the team.

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications on AWS utilizing Terraform, Kubernetes, and containerized workloads.

• Advocate for automated testing, TDD, and CI/CD to ensure deployments are secure, reliable, frequent, and require minimal manual intervention.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Lead Engineer or Tech Lead, guiding a small team or squad to deliver high-quality software.

• Strong full-stack engineering capabilities, including designing, building, and supporting robust APIs (REST and GraphQL) alongside the databases that support them.

• Extensive experience with automated testing and TDD using tools like Jest and Pact.

• Proficiency in designing, building, deploying, and managing systems end-to-end in the cloud, without reliance on manual configurations.

• A collaborative leadership style, demonstrated by a history of mentoring engineers, reviewing designs, and assisting teams in making thoughtful trade-offs.

• A pragmatic, problem-solving mindset: capable of addressing product challenges, exploring options with partners, and developing practical, elegant technical solutions.
