This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Act as the technical lead for the project by overseeing solution design choices, guiding implementation standards, and mentoring fellow engineers through coaching, reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Design, develop, and sustain intricate ETL pipelines utilizing Databricks, ensuring scalable and high-performance data integration across various source systems.
• Implement and enhance medallion architecture within Databricks, creating distinct data zones (raw, curated, trusted) to facilitate governed, enterprise-wide reporting.
• Develop and refine dimensional data models that provide unified, analytics-ready views of business domains and support automated dashboarding and KPI frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (data stewards, IT, business stakeholders) to translate operational needs into technical solutions, proactively clarifying dependencies and fostering alignment.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, using your expertise to recommend best practices, challenge assumptions, and ensure the durability and flexibility of the data platform.
• Identify and resolve integration challenges, data quality concerns, and process bottlenecks early, offering actionable insights and constructively addressing project risks or inefficiencies as they arise.
• Support knowledge transfer and documentation, enabling colleagues and clients to independently maintain and evolve data solutions.
• Databricks Expertise: 3–5 years of practical experience in developing with Databricks, along with relevant certifications (attach proof). Demonstrated ability to build, optimize, and troubleshoot production-grade ETL pipelines.
• Medallion Architecture: Proven experience in designing and implementing medallion data models (raw, curated, trusted zones) within Databricks environments.
• Dimensional Modeling: Strong skills in developing dimensional models that support business intelligence, reporting, and single source of truth requirements.
• Complex ETL Development: Advanced skills in orchestrating data ingestion, transformation, and integration workflows across multiple systems and formats.
• Business Acumen: Ability to comprehend operational requirements, translate them into technical deliverables, and effectively communicate the business impact of engineering decisions.
• Self-Starter: Proven ability to take initiative, work independently, and advance projects in ambiguous or evolving circumstances.
• Azure Ecosystem (Preferred): Experience with Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, and related services is a strong plus but not mandatory.
• Data Visualization Design (Preferred): Familiarity with human-centric design principles using data visualization tools like Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau.
