Lead Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and spearhead the creation of large-scale enterprise data platforms

• Aid in defining the scope and planning of integration initiatives

• Supervise the development of Azure SQL database components

• Enhance performance and reliability of real-time data processing systems

• Establish and uphold standards for integration methodologies

• Lead and mentor a small group of data engineers

• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to convert requirements into effective data solutions

• Promote innovation and ongoing improvement in data engineering practices

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in cloud-centric data engineering

• More than 3 years of experience with Databricks and Delta Lake on Azure

• At least 2 years in a leadership or architectural capacity

• Skilled in SQL with a focus on developing efficient queries

• Familiar with various programming languages relevant to data engineering (e.g., PySpark, Scala, R, Python)

• Solid understanding of cloud-native data architecture and Lakehouse design concepts

• Experience with CI/CD, version control (Git), preferably with Databricks Asset Bundles, and Infrastructure as Code
