This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and deliver training classes for customers, primarily in North America.
• Participate in pre-training meetings with customers to align on technical scope and training goals.
• Gather customer technical information to create training materials and tailor simulation software, workshops, and labs.
• Ensure availability of training equipment, manuals, and tools for each session.
• Assist in preparing shipping documentation and ensuring timely equipment delivery to customer locations.
• Maintain the condition, calibration, integrity, software licenses, and accessories of training equipment.
• Organize and book travel arrangements, including itineraries, hotels, and rental vehicles.
• Help with printing manuals and resolving issues related to supplier payments or expediting.
• Coordinate giveaways for customer students.
• Support facility coordination and ensure training room readiness.
• Conduct training classes for customers.
• Adhere to customer and GE HSE policies during onsite or GE-facility training sessions.
• Report risks associated with software, shipments, site hazards, student behavior, and other relevant issues.
• Deliver training in accordance with the contract scope and report any discrepancies.
• Submit time, expenses, and training completion documents via SAP.
• Continuously enhance training quality through equipment investments and risk assessment.
• Initiate Stop Work when necessary.
• Conduct regular health checks on equipment and software licenses.
• Update training materials, branding, and workshops to reflect product advancements.
• Innovate training delivery methods through cloud-based VMs, e-learning platforms, new product training, and AI technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to field resources addressing power-equipment outages.
• Advise field services and mobilization for first-of-a-kind Controls installations and new Controls NPI.
• Assist in resolving critical customer issues.
• Collaborate with various teams to create, manage, coordinate, and deliver training globally to both internal and external partners and customers.
• Engage in content development, training administration, and registrar responsibilities.
• Mentor junior team members and serve as a technical resource.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and act as an interface between customers and GE.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Over 7 years of experience in Power Plant controls engineering, field services, and instruction.
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for training.
• Proficient in Cimplicity, ToolboxST, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Mastery of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint/Box.
• Required proficiency with SAP.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage conflicts and work under pressure.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time to customer sites across North America, predominantly the United States.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Capable of obtaining authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, as necessary.
• Successful completion of a drug screening, where applicable.
• Experience with MarkVIe and EX2100e controls platforms is advantageous.
• Background in Nuclear and Aero controls is a plus.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity systems for industrial applications is desired.
• Experience with SAP and Smartsheet is preferred.
• Previous employment with a large engineering firm consisting of over 1,000 employees is desirable.
