This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Oversees and/or provides guidance on site, regional, and cross-organizational network and systems-related infrastructure projects.
• Assists in the planning and execution of new releases, updates, or corrections to hardware, software, applications, or connectivity.
• Engages in strategic planning and development related to future design, performance, and capacity management.
• Effectively conveys, communicates, and interprets technical subject matter to audiences without technical backgrounds.
• Assesses, recommends, and maintains hardware and software management and monitoring tools to satisfy current and anticipated organizational requirements.
• Defines and creates comprehensive training and informational resources for users and related personnel.
• Participates in various phases of projects, assesses architecture, implements projects, and provides post-implementation support while adhering to best practices and frameworks for managing new and existing resources.
• Involved in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of governance strategies, policies, and guidelines for public and hybrid cloud, aligning with industry standards while customizing for specific needs.
• Aids in shaping the strategy for security posture and conducting internal and external audits.
• Contributes to formulating cybersecurity strategies, optimizing costs, and ensuring platform stability and performance upkeep.
• Plays a role in developing new strategies for adopting, implementing, and managing emerging technologies such as Containers, OpenShift, Observability, APM, etc.
• Fundamental Azure Skills.
• Extensive knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaS services (e.g., Virtual Machines, App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, Logic Apps).
• Significant experience with Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, Application Gateway, Load Balancers, VPN/ExpressRoute, Private Endpoints).
• Expertise in Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, and Managed Identities.
• Experience with Azure Storage, Azure SQL, and Azure Monitor / Application Insights.
• Familiarity with Azure Security Center (Defender for Cloud) and Azure Policy / Blueprints for governance.
• Expert-level skills in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• CI/CD pipeline integration experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins).
• Proficient in automation & scripting using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and optionally Python.
• Proven experience in building automated deployment pipelines and infrastructure automation frameworks.
• Experience with containerization & DevOps, particularly deploying workloads on Azure RedHat OpenShift (ARO) and container registries (ACR).
• Understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and shift-left security.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Dynatrace, Grafana, FluentBit, etc.).
• Skills in performance optimization and cost management using Azure Cost Management and Advisor.
• In-depth understanding of cloud security principles, Zero Trust, and least privilege access.
• Experience implementing Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Sentinel, and Private Link for secure architectures.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2) and Azure Policy enforcement.
• Demonstrated ability to design scalable, secure, and highly available architectures.
• Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud designs, including on-prem integration via ExpressRoute or VPN gateways.
• Capability to create architecture diagrams, runbooks, and design documentation.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of hybrid cloud engineers and other support personnel.
• Collaborates with security, development, and operations teams to ensure alignment of cloud strategy.
• Exceptional communication skills — able to translate technical requirements into business impact.
