Lead Airline Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ethiopia.

📋 Description

• Offer Leadership and Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and assistance to customers regarding operations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs of assigned fleets.

• Advocate for Customers: Deliver swift and effective solutions that resolve customer issues and surpass their expectations, fostering loyalty and long-term relationships.

• Monitor and Enhance Reliability: Oversee reliability and on-wing performance, including significant occurrences, engine removals, delays, and cancellations.

• Influence Airline Stakeholders: Encourage stakeholders within the airline to adopt crucial reliability improvements.

• Improve Maintenance Planning: Shape maintenance planning efforts to ensure the stability of the aircraft engine fleet.

• Assess Maintenance Effectiveness: Analyze the success of maintenance actions to identify areas for enhancement.

• Implement FLIGHT DECK: Employ our FLIGHT DECK principles to drive continuous improvement, recognizing proactive reliability enhancements.

• Conduct Data Analytics and Reporting: Generate data analyses and timely reports on fleet status, program updates, events, and trends for key internal stakeholders.

• Provide Proactive Maintenance Recommendations: Offer suggestions for proactive maintenance based on analytics of engine performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Engineering or a technical degree from an accredited university or college (or equivalent work experience in relevant fields).

• Background in airline operations or maintenance planning, engineering, aviation propulsion, or a related discipline.

• Technical knowledge in aircraft engine or turbomachinery equipment.

• Proficiency in utilizing software or data analytics to make informed technical decisions and provide recommendations to customers or other key internal stakeholders.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels, not just with key internal stakeholders but also with customers.
