This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Coordinating and overseeing the quality assurance of assigned translations to maintain a high standard of excellence.
• Managing language resources such as translation memories, terminology databases, and style guides.
• Occasionally undertaking linguistic tasks including initial translations, revisions, and implementing client feedback.
• Conducting quality assessments on clinical translations, including informed consent forms (ICFs), protocols, investigators' brochures (IBs), patient diaries, and more.
• Developing and sustaining terminology and style guides specific to the language.
• Ensuring that Spanish Latin American translation memories are kept up to date.
• Establishing and executing the linguistic quality assurance process for the assigned language on a global scale as needed.
• Utilizing CAT technology to oversee the quality of outsourced language translations and manage external suppliers.
• Identifying language quality concerns and collaborating with the project management team on quality improvement initiatives.
• A Bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies.
• A Bachelor's degree in a different field coupled with 2 years of translation experience, preferably in medical translation.
• Native proficiency in Spanish, with a preference for the Argentinian variant.
• Experience with CAT/TMS tools is essential.
• Demonstrated expertise in terminology management and translation memory usage is required.
• Proven ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
