Junior/Mid AI Legal Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Taking charge of compliance with global laws relevant to AI and e-commerce platforms.

• Managing contracts and assessments required under data protection legislation, including GDPR (DPAs, TIAs, etc.).

• Preparing and maintaining necessary compliance documentation, such as internal documents related to data protection, AI governance, consumer rights, and similar regulations.

• Maintaining an inventory of EverAI's AI systems in accordance with EU guidelines.

• Conducting risk assessments under applicable safety regulations.

• Reviewing products and features for compliance with consumer rights and data protection laws.

• Overseeing daily compliance responsibilities, including standard intellectual property issues (e.g., DMCA notices, copycats).

• Reviewing contracts (NDAs, licenses).

• Updating legal terms, including Terms of Service, Privacy Notices, and content policies.

• Monitoring, researching, and analyzing pertinent legal developments, including the application of new laws or regulatory guidance to EverAI.

• Collaborating with and regularly consulting our Ethics & Compliance Officer.

• Meeting regularly with our ECO, a U.S. lawyer with over 10 years of experience in litigation and in-house roles, to clarify questions, co-develop recommendations based on research, and share relevant insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• A legal education (e.g., Master's of Law, Juris Doctor, or recognized legal certification).

• 2-6 years of experience in roles such as legal counsel or similar positions.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience specifically working with contracts and data protection law.

• Capability to simplify complex legal concepts into plain English.

• An interest in artificial intelligence.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills (fluent in English).

• Goal-oriented with a sense of ownership and commitment.

• A proactive mindset - we are moving quickly and require individuals who can balance execution, planning, and strategy.

• Humble and eager to learn, open to feedback.

• Comfortable reviewing and discussing uncensored AI-generated content and NSFW material.

• Full certification as an attorney/legal counsel (a plus).

• Previous experience in AI compliance (a plus).

• Fluency in additional languages (a plus).
