Junior/Mid AI Legal Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with global laws related to AI and e-commerce platforms.

• Managing contracts and evaluations required by data protection legislation, including GDPR (DPAs, TIAs, etc.).

• Preparing and maintaining necessary compliance documentation, such as:

• Internal records pertaining to data protection, AI governance, consumer rights, and similar regulations.

• Inventory of EverAI’s AI systems (aligned with EU guidelines).

• Conducting risk assessments under relevant safety regulations.

• Reviewing products and features for compliance with consumer rights and data protection.

• Overseeing daily compliance operations:

• Addressing standard intellectual property issues (e.g., DMCA notices, counterfeits).

• Reviewing contracts (NDAs, licenses).

• Updating legal terms (including TOS, Privacy Notices, and content policies).

• Monitoring, researching, and analyzing pertinent legal developments (e.g., how new laws or regulatory guidance affect EverAI).

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a legal degree (e.g., Masters of Law, Juris Doctor, or an equivalent legal qualification).

• 2-6 years of experience as legal counsel or in comparable roles.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience specifically dealing with contracts and data protection law.

• Capability to simplify complex legal concepts into understandable language.

• Interest in artificial intelligence.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills (fluent in English).

• Goal-oriented with a sense of ownership and commitment.

• Proactive mindset - we are moving quickly and require individuals who can effectively balance execution, planning, and strategy.

• Humble attitude - eager to learn and receptive to feedback.

• Comfortable with reviewing and discussing uncensored AI-generated content and NSFW materials.
