Junior/Mid AI Legal Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Responsible for ensuring adherence to global regulations related to AI and e-commerce platforms.

• Handling contracts and evaluations mandated by data protection laws, including GDPR (Data Processing Agreements, Transfer Impact Assessments, etc.).

• Creating and maintaining necessary compliance documentation, such as internal records under data protection, AI governance, consumer rights, and related legislation.

• Managing EverAI’s inventory of AI systems in accordance with EU guidelines.

• Conducting risk assessments in line with relevant safety regulations.

• Reviewing products and features to ensure compliance with consumer rights and data protection standards.

• Overseeing daily compliance responsibilities: addressing standard IP concerns (e.g., DMCA notices, copycats); reviewing contracts (NDAs, licenses); updating legal terms (including Terms of Service, Privacy Notices, and content policies); monitoring, researching, and analyzing pertinent legal developments (e.g., the implementation of new laws or regulatory guidance affecting EverAI).

• Collaborating with and regularly consulting our Ethics & Compliance Officer.

⛳️ Requirements

• A legal degree (e.g., Master of Law, Juris Doctor, or a recognized legal certification).

• 2-6 years of experience as legal counsel or in similar roles, with a minimum of 2 years focused on contracts and specifically on data protection law. For instance, familiarity with Data Protection Agreements and Transfer Impact Assessments is essential, along with some experience in vendor communication regarding contract-related matters.

• Capability to simplify intricate legal concepts into easily understandable language.

• A genuine interest in AI.
