Junior Software Engineer, MERN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Develop features and complete product modules leveraging AI-assisted workflows.

• Operate within a documentation-first framework to ensure clear requirements.

• Evaluate, enhance, and maintain the quality of AI-generated code.

• Release features to production early and on a regular basis.

• Troubleshoot and enhance existing systems.

• Adhere to established architecture and coding standards.

• Advance through a structured learning curriculum.

• Cultivate a solid foundation in software architecture and system design.

• Engage in code reviews, offering and receiving constructive feedback.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of full-stack development (frontend, backend, databases, APIs).

• Master best practices in clean coding, testing, and debugging.

• Contribute to client projects including dashboards, APIs, and integrations.

• Take part in sprint planning sessions and team standups.

• Collaborate effectively with design and business intelligence teams.

• Document work thoroughly and clearly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid understanding of computer science principles (Data Structures and Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming).

• Basic proficiency in web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

• Experience with Git (branching, merging, conflict resolution).

• Capability to read, comprehend, and debug code.

• Strong communication skills in English.

• Proven curiosity and eagerness to learn.

• Experience with React or Next.js is a plus.

• Familiarity with TypeScript is advantageous.

• Basic understanding of databases and SQL is desirable.

• Experience with AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor) is a plus.

• Personal projects, a portfolio, or contributions to open-source projects are beneficial.

• Understanding of REST APIs is a plus.
