Junior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and implement full stack features for our AI-driven web application utilizing Python, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

• Integrate AI models and APIs for various tasks such as document processing, data extraction, recommendation systems, etc.

• Collaborate closely with Senior Engineers experienced in AI to effectively integrate models into production environments.

• Keep abreast of new AI technologies and frameworks while investigating innovative applications.

• Develop scalable and reliable backend services that power our AI workflows.

• Craft intuitive user experiences that showcase AI-enhanced functionalities.

• Engage in architecture planning, code review processes, and brainstorming sessions.

• Assume responsibility for feature development from start to finish (once acclimated), coordinating efforts with QA and other teams.

• Foster cross-team communication to resolve dependencies and streamline release processes.

• Contribute ideas during quarterly planning sessions to influence our future developments.

• Take part in company-wide initiatives such as hackathons, engineering guilds, and AI tool experimentation.

• Proficient in full-stack development with capabilities to work on both backend and frontend using Python, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

• Understanding of AI/ML concepts acquired through coursework, side projects, or professional experience.

• Enthusiasm for creating intelligent applications that address real-world challenges.

• Willingness to learn, adapt to uncertain situations, and continuously enhance skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Practical experience or projects involving AI APIs/models (e.g., prompt engineering).
