Junior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee tenant concerns and service requests from the initial intake to resolution.

• Diagnose issues related to Kubernetes, application deployments, CI/CD pipelines, identity management, networking, cloud services, and platform integrations.

• Clearly communicate with tenants regarding the status of issues, information needed, next steps, and resolutions.

• Elevate complex problems to senior engineers while maintaining accountability and coordination.

• Record solutions, recurring issues, and platform procedures in the IronSled knowledge base.

• Identify repetitive support tasks that can be enhanced through automation or platform improvements.

• Assist with tenant onboarding, access requests, environment setup, and deployment support.

• Contribute to platform maintenance, testing, monitoring, and engineering tasks as your expertise grows.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, software development, systems administration, or technical support.

• Basic understanding of Linux, containers, Kubernetes, cloud services, networking, and CI/CD principles.

• Proven experience in troubleshooting technical issues and systematically resolving problems.

• Familiarity with Git, GitLab or GitHub, command-line tools, and infrastructure or application logs.

• Capacity to convey technical information clearly to users with varying levels of expertise.

• Strong sense of ownership, organization, and follow-through while managing multiple issues.

• Eagerness to learn new technologies and seek help when needed.

• U.S. citizenship and the capability to obtain a security clearance.
