This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee network infrastructure in real-time to guarantee availability, performance, and operational stability.
• Detect, analyze, and resolve network issues, outages, alerts, and performance declines.
• Utilize network management and monitoring tools to identify problems, evaluate impact, and facilitate prompt resolution.
• Escalate incidents to the relevant engineering, infrastructure, security, or vendor support teams when necessary.
• Carry out routine network maintenance tasks following established protocols.
• Assist in the execution of approved network changes, ensuring they are completed accurately and properly documented.
• Accurately document incidents, changes, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and follow-up actions.
• Maintain detailed operational records to support reporting, trend analysis, and issue tracking.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding network events, status, and resolution progress.
• Collaborate with IT personnel and other operational teams to enhance network performance, availability, and resilience.
• Aid in the development and execution of strategies for network enhancement and risk mitigation.
• Adhere to established operational procedures, escalation paths, and change management practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
• Training or hands-on experience in network operations, network monitoring, and network troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of network management tools and technologies, such as Cisco, Juniper, SolarWinds, or similar platforms.
• Capability to monitor network environments, interpret alerts, troubleshoot issues, and support timely incident response.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced operational setting.
• Proficient communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Skill in accurately documenting incidents, changes, troubleshooting actions, and resolutions.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or other relevant network certifications are highly preferred.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a NOC or similar operational setting is preferred.
• Requires an Interim DoD Secret or comparable clearance.
