Junior Google Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Conduct analyses and research on cloud-native tools and frameworks to develop innovative solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) that align with client needs.

• Assist the T-Systems Public Cloud Product Management Team in constructing and defining solutions informed by customer and market insights.

• Play a key role in implementing cloud solutions, automation, and service enhancement initiatives utilizing Google Cloud technologies.

• Engage in technical workshops and provide support for pilot and proof-of-concept projects.

• Work alongside senior architects and engineers to assess client workloads, deliver technical support, and ensure solutions are consistent with Google Cloud best practices.

• Aid in the preparation of client proposals and presentations throughout the customer engagement lifecycle, from pre-sales to implementation.

• Assist in reviewing current customer environments to pinpoint areas for enhancement, including planning for cloud migration using Google Cloud services.

• Develop and tailor automated cloud-native solutions, employing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles with tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.

• Enhance the solution portfolio by creating templates, defining new features, and compiling technical documentation.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams and support troubleshooting activities for cloud-based system environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

• Over 5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps practices, or cloud solutions (internships, part-time positions, or academic work are also considered!).

• Basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and essential services such as Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Firebase.

• Familiarity with contemporary software development using Python, NodeJS, or Java.

• A foundational understanding of cloud networking, automation, and security practices.

• A collaborative and solution-oriented mindset with a desire to learn and develop within a high-performance team environment.

• Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages such as German is an advantage.
