This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Assist in the design and development processes for an established program.
• Create, construct, and ultimately deliver solutions intended to operate within an AWS environment.
• Build relationships across various groups.
• Enhance customer satisfaction through high-quality code and timely delivery.
• Advocate for and support test-driven development (TDD).
• Maintain a continuous focus on personal and professional skill development.
• Seek training and tools to meet identified needs.
• Transform application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Design, construct, and sustain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Detect bottlenecks and bugs, and create solutions to these challenges.
• Implement industry best practices and techniques for designing, developing, testing, deploying, supporting, and maintaining complex React/Java applications, in line with business requirements, utilizing approved technologies and coding standards.
• Participate in project planning and architectural design reviews.
• Assist in planning for future system design and development enhancements.
• Collaborate with the development team to address programming issues, ensuring teamwork, effective troubleshooting, and a clear path to resolution.
• Communicate with team members, customers, and stakeholders in a clear, concise, timely, and professional manner.
• Support documentation requirements such as SLAs, Software Design documents, SOPs, etc.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management, or a closely related field.
• 1 - 3+ years of experience; two years of experience may be substituted with an advanced degree.
• Experience in designing and developing web-based applications using React and Spring Boot Java.
• Proficient in working with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with modern Java frameworks, particularly Spring Boot.
• Experience in an Agile development environment.
• Proficient in using Agile tools (i.e., Jira, Confluence).
• Experience with Docker.
• Knowledge of modern client frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, etc.
• Understanding of HTML & CSS.
• Experience with Jenkins and DevSecOps practices.
• Familiarity with Federal cybersecurity compliance work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• An Interim Secret or Secret Clearance to start.
• Preferred experience with DoD, DHA, VA, or Air Force.
• Located within commuting distance of an Air Force Base or Air Guard Base to access classified systems.
• Proficient in Linux commands.
• Experience with WSL 2.
• Knowledge of PL/SQL.
• Possession of a CompTIA Security+ certificate.
