Junior E-Commerce Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Shopify websites and e-commerce solutions.

• Aid in the implementation of responsive websites that align with brand guidelines and project specifications.

• Modify Shopify themes, templates, and CMS structures to fulfill client requirements.

• Develop and evaluate new website features and functionalities.

• Convert UI/UX designs and wireframes into functional, responsive web pages.

• Work in conjunction with designers to ensure the accurate execution of visual designs and user experiences.

• Enhance website performance, page load speed, and compatibility across different browsers and devices.

• Diagnose technical issues, resolve bugs, and assist with ongoing website upkeep.

• Generate and revise technical documentation.

• Provide support for third-party integrations, including analytics, marketing automation tools, and APIs.

• Assist in monitoring website performance and identifying opportunities for optimization.

• Collaborate with senior developers, designers, marketers, and project managers on client projects.

• Engage in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning activities.

• Investigate emerging web technologies, Shopify features, AI tools, and development best practices.

• Complete assigned responsibilities under the supervision of a Technical Lead while enhancing technical skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Web Development, or a related discipline.

• Recent graduates with relevant academic projects, internships, or personal development experience are encouraged to apply.

• Basic comprehension of programming fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.

• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

• Experience with React, Vue, or comparable front-end frameworks is an advantage.

• Understanding of Git and version control systems.

• Interest in Shopify development and e-commerce technologies.

• Basic knowledge of APIs, server-side concepts, and web integrations is a plus.

• Strong eagerness to learn and continuously enhance technical skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High attention to detail and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
