Junior DevOps Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop small to medium-sized infrastructure components utilizing Terraform and AWS.

• Maintain reliable build-and-deploy cycles by managing and troubleshooting CI/CD workflows, including GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.

• Acquire skills to diagnose and resolve issues in containerized environments, including Kubernetes pods and EKS networking limitations.

• Leverage GenAI and AI code assistants to expedite your onboarding process and accomplish well-defined automation tasks.

• Assess AI-generated code for accuracy and adherence to team style standards.

• Enhance system reliability by participating in the on-call rotation and promptly responding to system alerts.

• Use logging and observability tools (Datadog, Observe) to effectively gather information during troubleshooting efforts.

• Take ownership of the quality of your work by testing and documenting your code, ensuring reliable bug fixes across all environments (dev, staging, production).

• Actively participate in team ceremonies, including sprint planning and daily standups.

• Communicate project status and implementation details clearly to the wider team.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to understand and maximize the business and customer impact of your contributions.

⛳️ Requirements

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or possess equivalent practical experience.

• You have 1–2 years of relevant experience in DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering.

• You are proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Go, or Bash) and have a basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices.

• You have a general understanding of cloud engineering (AWS) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

• You exhibit a commitment to self-improvement and possess the "grit" required to tackle challenging new tasks.
