Junior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct essential data preparation and cleansing for analytics and reporting purposes.

• Implement standard analytical models under the guidance of the Senior Analyst.

• Verify and organize data for thorough analysis.

• Create and maintain scripts to automate regular data processing and queries.

• Write and execute SQL queries to extract and manipulate datasets.

• Assist in automation efforts aimed at enhancing data collection and reporting.

• Develop basic dashboards and data visualizations using common business intelligence tools.

• Aid in the creation of reports and analytical products for stakeholders.

• Present analytical findings through clear visualizations and comprehensive reporting.

• Collaborate with the Senior Analyst and other members of the data team.

• Engage in data validation, quality assurance, and ongoing process improvement.

• Contribute to analytics initiatives across the Marine Corps Logistics GPN program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.

• 1–4 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL.

• Familiarity with basic data visualization tools.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to work collaboratively within a technical team.

• Ability to adhere to established analytical processes.
