Junior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Designing the architecture for data products tailored for data analytics and data science, with a specific emphasis on use cases such as forecasting, feature engineering, customer behavior, and the integration of new data sources.

• Facilitate data transformation by establishing best practices in areas like data modeling, performance optimization, and data governance, ensuring that the data utilized within Prima is consistent, accessible, and reliable.

• Develop reusable technologies that empower teams to ingest, store, transform, and serve their own data products effectively.

• Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to investigate the product landscape and refine data requirements to improve data infrastructure.

• Strong educational foundation in STEM fields;

• Capability to deconstruct problems, learn swiftly, and experiment with various approaches;

• Foundational programming skills (the specific language is not critical; we prioritize clean, maintainable code);

• A keen interest in data and software, whether gained through coursework, projects, or personal endeavors;

• Enthusiasm for building systems from end-to-end: including data ingestion and transformation, model creation, and service deployment;

• A strong motivation and readiness to learn from more seasoned colleagues.
