This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist IntusCare’s Risk Adjustment team by conducting State Encounter coding activities.
• Implement CPT and E & M codes in line with AMA coding standards and specific requirements for state encounter submissions.
• Ensure that the accurate code selection reflects the complexity, medical decision-making, and time documented by the provider for every encounter.
• Confirm that coding is supported by appropriate clinical documentation.
• Precisely document coding decisions using established templates and tools.
• Maintain high standards of coding accuracy and consistency across all assigned tasks.
• Comply with all regulatory requirements and internal quality guidelines.
• Engage in quality reviews and feedback sessions to enhance coding performance.
• Identify missing or unclear documentation for review by senior coding personnel.
• Fulfill assigned daily and weekly coding volumes based on team requirements.
• Adhere to defined workflows, turnaround times, and submission deadlines.
• Utilize designated coding platforms and internal tools to accomplish tasks.
• Promptly escalate questions or obstacles to the Manager or senior coders.
• Current coding certification (CPC, CCS, RHIT, or CRC preferred).
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and diagnosis coding.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established processes.
• 0–1 year of coding experience (internships, training programs, or entry-level roles are acceptable).
• Familiarity with risk adjustment or State Medicaid encounter coding.
