This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Collaborate with seasoned cloud engineers on authentic AWS environments.
• Make contributions to Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and security from the outset.
• Execute and oversee AWS environments in alignment with the Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Engage in architectural discussions and promote knowledge sharing across teams.
• Participate in Landing Zone configuration, implementation of IAM and security policies, Terraform-based provisioning, and integration of CI/CD.
• 0–3 years of overall IT experience.
• Up to 2 years of practical AWS experience (whether academic, personal projects, or professional).
• Proficient in English — both written and spoken, for effective cross-team collaboration and documentation.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of essential AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, VPCs, Subnets, and Security Groups.
• Familiarity with the concepts of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and Landing Zone principles.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Foundational experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Scripting skills in Python and/or Bash for task automation.
• Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools.
• Basic understanding of IAM roles, policies, and permission boundaries.
• Awareness of encryption techniques and fundamental cloud security principles.
• Any AWS certification — such as Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate (preferred).
• AWS specialty certification in Security or Advanced Networking (preferred).
• Practical project experience (personal, academic, or open-source) demonstrating AWS or IaC applications (preferred).
• Familiarity with multi-account AWS environments or organizational governance concepts (preferred).
• Interest in FinOps and practices related to cloud cost optimization (preferred).
