IT Support Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and continuously enhance our Linux server environment based on Ubuntu.

• Manage, maintain, and operate high-availability Linux systems to guarantee optimal performance and dependability.

• Support, manage, and further advance storage solutions, particularly Ceph.

• Conduct management of performance, capacity, and availability for Linux servers and storage solutions.

• Ensure reliable operations through a trouble ticket system, delivering 2nd and 3rd level support.

• Analyze, modify, and develop automation processes and automated system configurations utilizing scripting tools such as Bash or Ansible.

• Assist IT security efforts by hardening Linux servers, securing services, and enforcing internal security policies and best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Completed vocational training in IT, a university degree, or equivalent qualifications along with relevant practical experience.

• Exceptional expertise in Linux system administration (Ubuntu).

• Strong experience in managing storage solutions, preferably Ceph.

• Familiarity with high-availability environments is advantageous.

• Proficient knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Bash or Ansible).

• Understanding of IT security, system hardening, and secure operational procedures.

• Independent, organized, and solution-focused work approach.

• Collaborative spirit and a readiness to assume operational responsibilities.

• Excellent command of both spoken and written English.

• Good command of both spoken and written German.
