This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Establish the AI vision and framework for the testing function.
• Determine testing activities suitable for enhancement through AI, such as: test case generation, test data creation, automated test maintenance, defect prediction, root cause analysis, log and failure analysis, requirements-to-test traceability, risk-based test prioritization, and intelligent regression selection.
• Develop and execute AI-powered frameworks for: functional testing, API testing, UI automation, performance testing, security testing support, and exploratory testing augmentation.
• Collaborate with QA, developers, DevOps, product managers, and data teams to integrate AI into CI/CD and quality engineering workflows.
• Assess and recommend AI/ML, GenAI, and test automation tools.
• Set standards for AI governance, privacy, security, explainability, and responsible use in testing.
• Design architecture for the integration of LLMs, test repositories, defect systems, observability tools, and CI platforms.
• Specify metrics to evaluate the impact of AI in testing, including: defect leakage, automation coverage, test execution efficiency, reduction of flaky tests, mean time to diagnose failures, and trends in release quality.
• Guide QA engineers and SDETs on AI-assisted testing methodologies.
• Oversee pilots, proofs of concept, and large-scale implementation of AI testing capabilities.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise policies regarding data management and model utilization.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree along with 8+ years of professional experience.
• Over 8 years in software testing, QA automation, quality engineering, or test architecture.
• More than 3 years of experience in designing or implementing AI/ML or GenAI solutions in enterprise settings.
• In-depth understanding of: software testing methodologies, test automation frameworks, SDLC/STLC, CI/CD pipelines, and Quality Engineering Practices.
• Practical experience with tools/languages including Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, and testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, PyTest, or equivalent.
• Experience with integration on platforms like Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab, or cloud-based testing platforms.
• Familiarity with test analytics, data pipelines, and observability/log analysis tools.
